The mat is made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) and plastic (PP). It is easy to wash after play/drinking. It can be washed in the dishwasher and frozen (freezing a tray filled with food is a great idea to cool down on hot days). The underside of the tray is non-slip, so that the tray does not slip when you are busily eating out treats. The raised edges prevent the food from falling out onto the floor.
