Pyoderm is a shampoo containing chlorhexidine at a concentration of 3%, perfectly tolerated by the skin, which shows antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Pyoderm is particularly recommended as an adjunct to the appropriate treatment of bacterial and fungal skin diseases, especially the treatment of superficial and deep purulent dermatitis (pyoderma).

Virbac Pyoderm 200ml - Directions for use

• Shake before use
• Apply Pyoderm to hair previously wet with warm water.
• Distribute the shampoo evenly over the skin and coat.
• Massage vigorously until foaming, then rinse thoroughly.
• Repeat the treatment, leaving the foam on for 5 min.
• Then rinse thoroughly with warm water
• The manufacturer does not limit the age of the animal

Additional information

The shampoo uses three innovative solutions: Spherulites, glycotechnology and chitosanide.

Spherulites are specially structured microcapsules created through the use of a unique technology that allows a controlled, gradual release of the shampoo ingredients on the surface of the skin ensuring a prolonged effect.

Glycotechnology exploits the properties of monosaccharides and alkylpolyglucosides, which prevent the adhesion of micro-organisms (anti-adhesion effect), in particular Staphylococcus intermedius, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Malassezia pachydermatis, and ensure the soothing of skin irritations (anti-irritant effect).

Chitosanide is a natural biopolymer derived from chitosan (a derivative of chitin) with the ability to form a durable film on the surface of hair and skin. It is non-toxic, non-allergenic, permeable to oxygen, provides a long-lasting moisturising effect on the epidermis and enhances the scarring process.

If the shampoo has been recommended by a veterinary surgeon, follow his/her recommendations (if necessary, the shampoo can be applied two or three times in one week).

The product has a physiological pH.
