Tropical Aqua Care aquarium preparations facilitate the setting up and maintenance of the aquarium. They are a source of microelements, essential for the proper functioning of fish organisms, and nutrients for aquatic plants, ensuring their lush growth and healthy appearance. An important group of preparations are those for treating and preparing tap water for aquarium purposes. This is important because most aquarists use tap water disinfected with chlorine or its compounds, which are toxic to fish. Such water requires special treatment to make it safe for aquarium inhabitants.

Aqua-Alkal pH Plus is intended for increasing the water pH in general and breeding aquaria. Alkaline water is typical for many biotopes inhabited by popular aquarium fish, e.g. Lake Malawi mbuna cichlids, Lake Tanganyika trophies, Central American cichlids etc. Maintaining a high water pH for many fish species is a prerequisite for keeping them fit and healthy, for enhancing their colours, for bringing them to spawn and for hatching eggs. Aqua-Alkal pH Plus prevents drops in water pH, which occur in every aquarium through natural processes. When dosing directly into the aquarium, we recommend constant monitoring of the water pH with an aquarium test. The change in pH per day should not be greater than 0.2 pH. However, the safest solution is to prepare the water to be changed outside the aquarium and then gradually change it in the aquarium tank.

Raises the pH and carbonate hardness and prevents them from dropping.

In an aquarium inhabited by animals, the preparation should be added gradually, constantly stirring the water with a filter and checking the water reaction with a tester. A safe variation for the fish is no more than 0.2-0.3 pH per day. This value should not be exceeded. For the safety of the aquarium inhabitants, we recommend dosing the preparation in the water intended for water changes (do not apply it directly to the aquarium).
Caution: Do not use at the same time with other aquarium preparations. Use other products after a minimum of one day.
