Beef provides alanine - an amino acid that protects muscles from damage when the body is not provided with sufficient carbohydrates, thus preventing the loss of muscle mass. It is a source of excellently absorbed iron for blood balance, phosphorus to keep bones and teeth healthy, zinc for skin health and selenium to protect against oxidative stress, as well as B vitamins and vitamins A and E.

Goose - the most calorific of all poultry meats, characterised by a high content of unsaturated fatty acids - rarely found in bird meat - for cardiovascular health and the smooth functioning of the nervous system. Rich in vitamins A, E and B. Geese tolerate confinement badly - so are not suitable for industrial rearing. They usually live in semi-open runs.
