Initially feed Brit Diabetes Vet Food for cats for up to 6 months. Divide the daily dose of food into several portions and feed at regular intervals depending on the cat's health condition. Regular measurement of blood glucose levels is the basis for determining the optimal insulin dose. Do not give your cat any other food, food or snacks.
Maintaining an optimal weight in diabetic cats improves insulin sensitivity. Regular weight control is the basis for successful diabetes management. With a low glycaemic index diet and a high protein content, diabetes remission in cats can occur.
