Xylene, through its wax-lytic action, ensures excellent wax solubility. Glycerine and propylene glycol, thanks to their softening and soothing properties, facilitate the penetration of the active substances and ensure excellent tolerability of the solution. Glycerine has strong dissolving properties. Menthol and thymol combine antiseptic and deodorising properties (they impart a fragrance). Menthol also exerts a mild anaesthetic effect. The combination of these properties makes OTICLAR an excellent ear care product for dogs and cats.

• Apply externally to ears
• Inject a few ml of the solution into the ear canal and clean, repeating the procedure until the ear is completely cleared. If ear wax production is very abundant, the application can be repeated once a day for two or three consecutive days without fear of complications.
• In dogs (especially pendulous dogs) suffering from chronic otitis externa, daily application helps to achieve a faster improvement.
• The manufacturer does not specify an age or weight limit for the animal

Additional information

OTICLAR can be used to toilet the ears of dogs and cats on a regular basis once to twice a week. In ear conditions, it is usually administered to pre-clean the ear canal, prior to the application of the appropriate therapeutic agent. This is because too much earwax can reduce the effectiveness of the primary preparation.
