Dietary food for adult dogs with renal insufficiency / oxalate and cystine stones.
Trovet RID food is a complete and balanced food adjusted by nutrient levels to prevent and alleviate metabolic changes caused by kidney, heart or liver failure.
Trovet RID food features reduced levels of phosphorus and sodium to reduce hyperphosphatemia and control heart failure, hypertension and ascites.
Moderate levels of high-quality protein ensure that the minimum daily requirement of amino acids is met and that kidney function is maintained. Increased levels of B vitamins inhibit the development of the disease and contribute to the alleviation of disease symptoms.
The addition of substances to raise urinary pH counteracts metabolic acidosis and prevents the development of oxalate stones in the urinary tract.
