JM SANTE Polisept Vet Wound Gel Silver Pro 30ml - Product description
POLISEPT VET Wound Gel SILVER PRO 30ml accelerates and improves the wound healing process. The product has been enriched with nanosilver, which inhibits microbial growth and has anti-inflammatory properties. The very small silver particles enhance the efficacy of the preparation and, thanks to their high and persistent activity, the effect does not diminish with time. Nanosilver has no cytotoxicity or genotoxicity and no irritant or allergenic effects. The presence of Bitrex in the formulation makes the preparation very bitter, which prevents licking of the preparation from the wound.

JM SANTE Polisept Vet Wound Gel Silver Pro 30ml - Directions for use
- Prior to application of the gel, it is recommended that the wound be thoroughly cleansed and decontaminated with Polisept Vet Wound Irrigation fluid (depending on the type and condition of the wound) or, if necessary, surgically debrided. Removal of mechanical and biological contamination and decontamination of the wound including removal of bacterial biofilm creates optimal conditions for further treatment. When irrigating lacerated wounds, bite wounds, dabs or pockets, ensure fluid drainage. Apply the gel to dried wounds. In case of severe wound infection, use a suitable antiseptic.
- Gel application. Squeeze gel from the tube and apply in a thin layer (3-5 mm) directly onto the wound. The gel can also be applied to the wound with a sterile spatula. For deep wounds, fill the wound up to 2/3 of its depth with gel so that it does not extend above the surface of the skin surrounding the wound. Cover the wound with a secondary dressing (if the gel is changed daily in the wound, the secondary dressing can be dispensed with, provided, however, that the wound is protected from licking by animals).
- Secondary dressings. All types of secondary dressings can be used. Gauze, compresses or other easily absorbable dressing materials should also be saturated with the preparation.
- Dressing changes. The frequency of dressing changes depends on the management adopted, the nature and condition of the wound. The gel can be changed daily or remain in the wound for up to 3 days. When changing the dressing, residual gel or other residues should be rinsed gently (so as not to damage the wound) with Polisept Vet Wound Irrigation depending on the wound condition.
- The manufacturer does not limit the age of the animal.
Additional information
The hydrocolloid gel cleans wounds of biological contaminants generated during wound healing (metabolic products, toxins, etc.) and prevents the formation of a bacterial biofilm. The product protects wounds from external infection while ensuring optimal gas exchange.
