DERMActiv is an innovative product on the veterinary market which, thanks to the combination of several substances with beneficial effects, supports the proper functioning of the skin and coat and ensures its healthy appearance.
The composition of the product has been carefully developed based on available scientific literature and is based on fatty acids (EPA, DHA, GLA) from three sources: fish oil, borage oil, safflower oil, vitamins (A, E, B-Complex), minerals (zinc, iron), amino acids (L-methionine and L-cysteine), and plant extracts (lavender, field horsetail, holy thistle, nettle, violet, chaste).

Dosage

It is recommended to administer the following quantities of the product daily during the meal according to the weight of the animal: - for every 20 kg - 1 capsule.

If necessary, the capsule can be opened and the contents mixed with a favourite treat. If the diet is based on dry food only, it should be lightly moistened so that the capsule contents adhere to the food and are consumed by the animal.

The manufacturer does not limit the age or size of the animal.

Additional information

Omega-3 fatty acids (source of EPA and DHA) - contribute to proper hydration of the skin and have a beneficial effect on skin lesions induced by UV radiation. EPA and DHA significantly reduce pro-inflammatory substances secreted under the influence of ultraviolet light. They have a protective effect, reduce the effects of sunburn, promote repair processes and soothe irritation. Their deficiency means that the skin's natural resistance is significantly weakened.

Borage oil (sources of GLA) - has positive effects on skin hydration, elasticity, density, roughness and resistance to fatigue. Deficiency of y-linolenic acid is associated with the occurrence of many skin conditions, including excessive dryness.

Horsetail extract - contains flavonoids and silicon compounds that nourish and regenerate the animal's skin. Horsetail accelerates wound healing and protects against excessive hair loss. It also has an antimicrobial effect, cleanses the skin, strengthens the epidermal layer and promotes the healing of even minor skin injuries.

Nettle extract - helps combat alopecia in domesticated animals. It shows antagonistic activity against histamine, a pro-inflammatory mediator.

Milk thistle extract (80% silymarin) - has antioxidant and detoxifying effects on the body. Silymarin influences the quantitative and qualitative composition of sebum and slows down the process of keratinisation of the sebaceous glands and epidermis. It also protects the skin from UV radiation.

Vitamin A and E - fat-soluble vitamins, which are natural antioxidants that slow down the skin ageing process. They also prevent excessive dryness and keratinisation (keratosis) of the skin and promote faster epidermal regeneration.

B vitamin complex - promotes wound healing, ensures proper hydration of the skin and protects against skin disorders such as seborrhoea and alopecia.

Zinc (in the form of an amino acid chelate) - has a significant effect on the condition and appearance of the skin and hair coat. It is mainly used to combat skin lesions in dogs with hypothyroidism.

Iron - prevents hair loss and keratosis of the skin. It is an essential compound for the normal structure of the skin, coat and claws.

L-cysteine - ensures healthy skin appearance. It protects it from the negative effects of UV radiation, participates in the production of collagen, improves the elasticity and structure of the skin.

L-methionine - a sulphuric amino acid that supports the regeneration processes of connective tissue and accelerates hair growth.
