- Complete dietary wet food for adult dogs of all breeds, tailored to the needs of pets with diagnosed diabetes and dogs that are overweight, obese or have undergone sterilisation. Pack of 400g.
Dolina Noteci 4Vets Dog Diabetes 400g - Product Description
4vets Diabetes veterinary diet is a complete dietary food for adult dogs of all breeds, adapted to the needs of pets with diagnosed diabetes mellitus and overweight, obese dogs, after sterilisation.
The fibre in the diet and the low level of fast-glucose-releasing carbohydrates help control blood sugar levels and the dog's body weight.
The most common causes for the development of diabetes mellitus are genetics, immune-mediated insulin resistance, pancreatitis and the increasing prevalence of obesity among adult dogs.
Reducing blood glucose fluctuations and maintaining blood glucose levels close to normal helps control symptoms and prevent complications of diabetes.

Additional information
Diabetes mellitus is a multifactorial disease entity whose causes are attributed to a genetic predisposition, the use of drugs with antagonistic effects to insulin, immune-mediated insulin resistance, pancreatitis and increasingly common.
Recommendations:
Consultation with a veterinarian is recommended before use or prolonged use. Use initially for up to 6 months. Ensure that the dog has constant access to fresh water to drink.
Distinctions:
Chicory - is a rich source of inulin which is a prebiotic, i.e. a nutrient for the physiological intestinal bacterial flora. A healthy flora hinders the growth of pathological bacteria in the animal's digestive tract and thus prevents digestive tract disorders.
High quality protein - the feed is based on sources of wholesome animal protein with a low fat content. The use of this level and quality of protein is sufficient for tissue reconstruction and not to be treated as a simple protein source.
The low fat content of animal-derived raw materials and vegetable oil ensures maximum involvement of liver and pancreas functions and prolongs the time required for their digestion. In addition, the polyunsaturated fatty acids of the omega-3 family present in salmon oil provide the necessary amount for biochemical control of inflammatory processes.
L-carnitine - a compound that accelerates the metabolism of fats in the body, lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood.
Dietary fibre - its high content (3% of the total weight of the food) ensures adequate water absorption, thus increasing the feeling of satiety and filling the gastrointestinal tract, which consequently stimulates the satiety centres more quickly and reduces the feeling of hunger. The presence of dietary fibre in the form of e.g. Psyllium seeds influences the binding of fatty components in the content of the digestive tract, reducing their digestibility and utilisation as energy components.
Carbohydrates - Diabetes food uses starch, which is a polysaccharide and releases glucose slowly. It is very important in diabetes to avoid mono- and disaccharides, which cause sugar spikes that can be very dangerous for organisms with abnormal insulin metabolism.
Dried beer yeast (source of prebiotics: mannanooligosaccharides and β-glucans)-has a beneficial effect on the intestinal flora. Yeast also has a high biological value due to its high content of B vitamins. The use of yeast in the nutrition of young dogs is particularly important, as it stimulates a wide range of immune responses.
Mojave yucca - the presence of these ingredients stimulates digestive functions, the absorption of nutrients from the digestive tract and stimulates its peristalsis. When added to the diet, it has the effect of reducing intestinal gas production and the intensity of faecal odour. In addition, Mojave yucca saponins exhibit antibacterial activity, which suppresses protozoan infections arising in the intestines, and polyphenols have an anti-inflammatory effect.
Psyllium seed (Plantago psyllium L.) - the seeds combine the properties of highly soluble fibre with low fermentability in the small intestine, exerting a positive effect on improving intestinal peristalsis. In addition, they have water-binding and gel-forming properties, thus normalising the passage of digestive contents.
